The trail looks relatively flat!? At such high altitude,
even relatively flat trail can make one ‘breathless’ very easily.

Freezing cold! We turned back (at about 5,500m)
because it started to get extremely cold...

…and it was still quite a walk to reach Kala Pattar,
the return journey would then be in the dark.
